Love, love, love (All together now)
Love, love, love...

Oh, it's a wonderful thing to behold!

Has Moondoggie been forced to put her young admirer in his place at all?

Our late Burmese, Danny, was a bumptious boy when young, and had several elderly aunties to tease. Their methods for dealing with him varied from the masterful (grab the kid and pin him to the ground)to the saintly (try to pretend he's not there). His gentlest and shyest aunt, Greyfeet, put up with a great deal from him, then finally lost it. He grabbed her splendid bushy tail once too often, and she turned on him and chased him all the way into the kitchen and onto the bottom pantry shelf behind the canned goods, swatting his butt the whole way. It was wonderful. And just.

I'm not suggesting Shadow is bad like that, of course. And even if she were, Moondoggie probably carries saintliness to St. Francisish levels.

Happy New Year 2 days late to all.

Woop, got the genders screwed up, didn't I? Whatever!

Everybody's fixed around here, Li'l, so we're pretty gender fluid.

Moondoggie has done the pinning thing, a couple of times when they're playing, but mostly he just suffers in silence. On the few occasions when he tuckered beyond the limits of feline endurance and just can't take all the havoc she kicks up, he distracts her with a masterful display of face-licking.

That last picture is the EPITOME of feline love. James' unrequited fan-boy crush, Yoda, would gaze up at him with the same awed/adoring look as Shadow's giving Moonie in the last picture. James did LOVE Yoda, just not in "that way," sadly for Yoda. But oh, the fun they had "rasslin'" just for the hell of it... And when still in the L9, James on his harness & long longe-line, Yoda would fling all 7 pounds of his fluffy little self down upon the aforementioned leash, just to keep James within reach. It was so sweet, so adorable, but even His Majesty's patience could wear thin of the laser-focused adoration... I know that he misses tha attention now, as well as his masterful compadre'Bob & young/frisky/wild-as-a-march-hare Shaggy. Only Penny successfully survived moving up here to West Redneckistan, where they should ALL have been safe, but I don't wanna muddy-up this lovely kitteh-love thread with the woodchipper plans for the trailer-trash carny whore who done my babies wrong...

Give Moonie & Shadow lots of pets, kisses, ear-skritches & hugs for me, k? We know how special that Moonie is, and how amazing that Riley was, but black cats outside of the tuxedo clan, well, black cats are just fucking SPECIAL, and I'm sure, more than once, you've looked-up to see Shadow staring at you/your head, trying to convince you to go open-up that human-quality tunafish RIGHT-THE-FUCK-NOW, n'est-ce pas?

XOXOXO
