Anyway, Eliza knew how to stand up to him.<br /><br />I nominate Mr. Barrett in "Barretts of Wimpole Street", as spine-crawlingly portrayed by Charles Laughton. And if step-dads count, how about Basil Rathbone as Mr. Murdstone in "David Copperfield"?
